The way you access school menus is changing, and
we are sure you will love it!
Appleton Area School District, in partnership with Chartwells K12, is now using Nutrislice to publish the school menus to a new interactive website and a free smartphone app! Now you can access your menus anywhere, anytime!
In addition to nutrition information, Nutrislice tells the café menu story with real photos taken by Chartwells chefs in schools, full menu descriptions as well as café event information, nutrition education and food stories helping students connect the foods they eat in the café to its origins and health benefits.
Download the free Nutrislice App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and search for your menus or find them on the web: aasd.Nutrislice.com
Nutrislice provides nutrition information as wells as filters for the top eight allergens. You can also view carbohydrate counts for all meal items quickly using the Carb Counts calculator at the top right of the screen.
You can view all the schools on the “All locations” tab when you first log in or filter by grade level.
Now you can also:
- See more information about menu items, including a photo and description
- Filter common food allergens like nuts, wheat and dairy
- Translate your menus into a
number of different languages
- Access nutrition information like carb counts and calories with just a few clicks!
- Print a PDF version of the menus directly from the website, if you prefer
Will we still receive print outs at school?
Menus will not be printed for distribution. Much like the registration process, menus are digital on the website and also available on the Nutrislice app.
